I went to their site to order a helmet for my GF.....we found one, I ordered it, I even paid for UPS next day air (which was almost as much as the helmet price), and thought, "alright, cool, i'll have the helmet tomorrow, we can finally go riding together."....but nope. This is the email i got from them confirming my order...

WHY OFFER UPS NEXT DAY AIR, CHARGE PEOPLE A PREMIUM FOR THAT SERVICE, IF YOU'RE NOT EVEN GOING TO PROCESS THE ORDER FOR ANOTHER DAY OR TWO ????!!!!!! I CALLED THEM AND THEY PRETTY MUCH TOLD ME TOUGH DOO-DOO, THATS THE WAY THEY DO THINGS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I CANCELLED THAT ORDER AND ORDERED IT FROM THEIR COMPETITOR.
Sucks, don't it? Seems like a lot of folks do it that way now. Next day air really only means next day if you don't order on a Friday (and a LOT of folks do). And most companies don't process orders any faster just 'cause you select next day shipping. They plod along at their standard pace.
Good ol' fashioned customer service!

Get a few more responses from us and then send those to them so they can see that they've alienated folks that have never even heard of em before..

It probably had something to do with the credit card company.
When selling on line you have to have a CC gateway, then the actual Credit card processor before payment hits your bank. The credit card processing takes 2-3 days usually, they probably wanted your money in the bank before shipping it out.
Wow. This really confuses me. The guys I ride with have all ordered from leatherup.com and have had nothing but praise for their merchandise quality and prompt deliveries.

I was getting ready to order a jacket and boots. Now I am hesitant.
When I order online... I just figure it will be a week or two...and live with it... so when it comes earlier than a week or two... then I am happy!!!! I am very seldom let down with this type of online ordering.
I do agree that they should not offer "next day air" when they have NO intention of honoring that claim....
They need to Limit thier offer to "Next Day After We Get Around to it" Deal.....

I remember the first time I ordered from Dennis Kirk. I paid for next day air or something like that. What I did not know is that they were right down the road from me and no plane was needed. I got my purchase the next day.
However my bill was smaller. They caught my mistake and did not charge me for next day air. Good folks.
You all have to remember. One screw up does not make a company bad. Mistakes happen. When you have a buisness you work with 2nd and 3rd parties and humans who all can do a little snafu.
Let me hear.
Give kuddos to those places that treat us good.
I also want to hear so I can stay away from those companies that suck. Poor products or customer service that happens more than it should.
