Default Road Sofa seat by Saddlemen

I have an 01 Road King Classic with just over 38,000 miles on her. I think that I'm over due to upgrade to a new seat. It's starting to get a little uncomfortable for me & the little lady on days that we put some miles on. I was looking in a my Dennis Kirk catalog and I saw this seat. It seems like it would be pretty comfortable, its a gel seat. I'd like to pull the trigger and buy it but I guess I don't want to drop over $400 on something that I'm not totally sure about. Does anyone have this seat? Or does anyone have any suggestions of a new seat that will save my back & her butt?!?

Hi there
Just got home from 322 miles on our '06 Ultra Classic with 35k miles on the clock. The wife just mentioned to me that the seat just dont have what it used to, so I was gonna remove the leather cover and add a layer of foam.
I was gonna start with 1" thick, and when I get the existing foam out, take it to the foam shop and get some just a little stiffer. Maybe I'll do a tread on re-building the seat... hmmmmm

I didnt notice any decrease in the quality of our stock seat, cuz my other bike that I rode 250 miles yesterday has almost no padding, I swear it only has 1/4" foam on steel, but I got no feeling there anyway, so I guess it dont matter.

Saddleman is a good company but I have not tried the seat you are looking at. Maybe someone else here has, and can give you thier rundown on it.
