Default Aftermarket Fairings

Hey ya'll, I am seriously considering buying an aftermarket fairing to put on my 04 Heritage Softail. I figure with the fairing, a good jacket, and a full face helmet, I can ride this puppy year round. What gets cold are my hands and lower body. I liked the looks of the Hoppe Fairings, but Dead Center Cycles seems to sell quite a few also. I have to admit I am a little anal about having a space between the fairing and the headlight, and the Hoppe looks like it fits best. One other concern is that my Heritage has the "beach" handlebars which puts my hands much lower then the stock mini apes did. I am concerned about my hands being lower then the fairing and not getting the benefit of the wind block. Anyone out there have some experience with the aftermarkets? Also, I am looking at the FXRG helmet and jacket. I would like to hear ya'lls input on them as well. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Even with the fairing,(stock) my hands got cold, so I installed heated grips. Best move ever for me.

I know, I aint no help with the fairing question

Yeah, Northern Cal, and just over the ridge from the ocean means 45 and fog most mornings, even in July!... till 9 or 10 then it warms up. Somethimes it stays warm at night., I rode a couple winters back when it was 35 in the am and warmed up to 55 for the ride home....

I have ridden in 20's up in Oregon, and it aint muich warmer here for some reason....

Must be that "global warming" causing it to get colder???

I always tell the wife. If we ever really move, like out of this area. It will be where I have 12 month riding season.
