I rode a 70FLH for 18 years with a mustang seat and my wife and I loved it.
When I got the 03 roadking I was disappointed in the seat comfort as was my wife (she has rhuematoid arthritis). I purchased a mustang seat and the first weekend we had it on we did a round trip of 900 miles in 2 1/2 days, got home unloaded the bike, and rode another 30 miles to get dinner.

Default Mustang

It's Mustang seats for me on the 73 Superglide and 02 Ultra. I'm also dealing with Arthritis, it's bothering my back a bit so I may go with the back rest (I don't really like the looks of 'em but if that's what it takes to keep riding, so be it.)

I've got the Mustang wide solo w/ pillion and backrest. Seat is incredibly comfortable. Aside from taking some stress off of your back, you'd be amazed how much it takes off of your shoulders. Only use the b/r on long rides for that very reason. LOVE the seat!

do not... and i repeat...do not go with the le para. I have one on my 1996 fxdwg and it is like sitting on a rock. have had it on for maybe a 1000 miles and it still isnt any better. break in makes no difference. still harder than a rock. I like that the seat is low and thin gave me more room to put feet down ( i am short 5foot 4 inch) but damn this seat is hard....butt hurts all the time.

wideglide, contact a local seat maker and have a gel pad installed in your le para. I had this done on a le pera solo for my softail and do not get monkey butt anymore!

I have this seat also and it was a great seat for 45,000 miles then it started getting hard and now I can only ride for an hour with out having to adjust position or stop for a spell. Contacted Mustang twice by E Mail and no answer on getting it redone. So I have contacted Mean City Cycles and they will redo it for $140.00. I have a friend who swears by their work so I guess I will give them a try.

Will update when I get it back.
