I have a 2004 sproty xlc and would like to know if i should use type B or type E oil. also i saw that type E was for showa forks, what type of bikes have these forks?

I'm not certain whether you have Showa or Kayaba forks. My 73 has the former, 85 the latter. I used to be really picky about having the right type, but have since realised it is not that critical. There is just a slight difference in viscosity. Many people experiment with various viscosities to suit their riding style, conditions, preference etc. Some choose to try various automatic transmission fluids. Ditto, and if your running the factory springs in the front you may want to put in some progressive springs. Major difference!
