Default 89 FXRS need fork info PLEASE HELP

Allright I have an 89 FXRS with the narrowglide and am looking at a wideglide front end, I have been unable to get the correct length measurement I'm between 31 1/2 and 33 inches. Does anyone know the actual correct length they should be so I get the correct length forks? Also if there is anything else I should watch for on this swap? I would appreciate the advice..... and can anyone confirm the 89 FXRS has the 1'' neck bearings? once again thank you. Steve

Go to custom cycle engineering on the web or to your favorite parts catalog. They sell a wideglide triple tree for your bike and you can use your stock forks, sliders and fender. All you'll need is new spacers and you'll save a ton of money!

From what I can figure out, mid 1981 is whe H-D changed narrowglides from 15/16" stem to 1" stem. your 1989 is 1" stem.
A wide glide tree conversion is most certainly cheaper, but I feel that you should at least use a fork brace with the 39mm tubes. Spaced that far apart, the skinnier tubes will flex alot.
