Default Softail Suspension Mods

I have a new 2008 FXSTB. I was wondering if anyone has swapped out the front forks for inverted forks, swapped out the front tire for a larger tire, and or added dual calipers to the front wheel. I like the Night Train, just wanted to see if anyone has modified the front end for better handling and braking performance, and if so how it went.

I have an 03 and have put progressive fork springs in the front that seem to help with front end dive during braking also have a progressive airtail in back which is nice because I can drop the back to cruse around town or raise it and soften the preload for longer rides or passengers.
I do have to say the HD black inverted front end looks cool and is made by Marzochi who also makes front ends for BMW and the like so I'm guessing they work good. I think it is close to the same fork HD is using on th SE Dyna.
I am also using the next size up front tire. It's a 90/90 from Metzler instead of the stock 90/80. I would like to have a 120/21 but do not want to modify the front fender.

Thanks for the info. Is the only reason that you cannot put the 120 on front is because of fender mods or is there other mechanical reasons not to do so?

You would also need a wider rim and fender. I also don't know how it would ride I'd think it would be smoother. I definatly like the metzler tires though they just grip better .
