Default Lowering a 2007 Street Glide

Question for you all...Has anybody here lowered a 2007 street glide. Arlen Ness sells a lowering bracket that will lower up to 1.5 inches. Some one told me not to because the tire might rub and eat the wiring up????

I lowered my 06 Flht 1 1/2". I did get some rub over bumps or with a passenger. Increasing the pressure in the shocks took care of it. I remove the kit if I'm going to have a passenger for a longer ride. It takes about 10 minuets to install or remove the kit I have.
