Default True Track - Worth It?

What's the deal with the True Track set up to bolt together the engine and trans? Is it worth the time and money to install? Anyone have any experience with it on a Twin Cam touring model?

Good morning Baggerdad. My personal experience is that the True-Track is one of the best improvements I have done on my Ultra. Very well made and easy to install. Just be sure that the crossmember which the unit bolts to is straight. They sell a straightening tool for $40 which made it easy to fix. It made my bike handle much better and safer.

Thumbs up Worked For ME

BaggerDad,

I have to agree with ShovelMike. Had one on my 05 RK for about a year. I did notice an improvement on the higher speed sweepers. ALso bike wandered less on the superslab. Even slow speed manuevering felt better unless its my mind messing with me. A bit pricey but it does imrove that rear steer sloppyness. Good luck. 20 mins. to install, very easy too. Far cry from some of the HD "compatible" stuff HD sells. Botz

How do you know if it is bent?

BaggerDad,

You can tell right away if its bent. Somtimes a jack or lift might bend it. Sometimes maybe its road debris. You can put a small level under it and see if it sits flush against the level. That will tell you right away. You can usually see it by eye if its bent though. I have the directions would you like me to scan and send them to you? This way you can get a better idea whats what? Botz

I agree with shovelmike, well worth the price and a breeze to install, you'll stop wondering what the bike will do in the corners.
