Default can i get more legroom?

i wasnt exactly sure in which section post this, but i figured since my question is about my forward foot controls, which are mounted to the frame,i'd put it in here.anyway,im wondering if there's a way i can give myself a little bit more legroom,i'm 6' with boots on,and even with the forward controls on my fat bob,it gets to feeling cramped when i get out for longer cruises.i get the feeling that another three inches would be perfect.would i be correct in assuming that somebody somewhere makes a kit just for this purpose?

If you already have forward controls, I would think the only other option would be crash bars with some more pegs on them, probably not the look you're going for on that bike

Smile Several Options

HD does make an extended foward control kit for some models. It comes with brackets that move the shifter/peg foward and brake pedal/peg acouple inches farther foward. It also comes with an extra long shifter rod and an extended brake hose for the master cylinder.Check with your dealer to see if one is available for your particular bike.
Also, there are a bazillion different aftermarket foward controls. If you chose to go that route, I'm sure someone makes one that will give you a little more stretch a maybe a little more style too.
Not to mention a different seat could put you in a more comfortable riding position. Pherhaps lower and a little farther back.
If I can find the part # for the HD kit I'll post it .

Hey Pono
I just put the Arlen Ness extension kit on my Softail. Three inches further out, easy to install and all the parts needed are in the kit. I'm not thrilled with the stainless shifter linkage extension but that's only because I had replaced my stock length rod with chrome. Not sure if they make a kit for your model but the Ness web site is good. I love the new feel, I am leaning back more comfortably in the seat and I am not as tall as you are. Oh, the Ness kit was about $200.
