Question Handle Bar Riser Movement

Hi,
New to Harley Davidsons. Bought a new Fatboy in October. Have about 1,700 miles on it. The handle bars don't like to stay straight. Already had the dealer look at it when it went in for it's 1000 mile. Still moves. I can wiggle the bars left and right when I have them locked. I understand thay are mounted in rubber so maybe this is normal.

'06 Low Rider with handlebars risers mounted in rubber. Mine don't move. If they do, it's not enough for me to tell. I'll be interested to hear from other Fatboy owners.

It's kinda normal for them to wiggle a wee bit to and fro (push-pull) but not to rotate and get outa square with the top clamp..
Have you tried a wee tightening of your own.?

There are a couple diff bushing composites, rubber and Polyurethane..

If you're running Rubber,, the Poly just might do the trick for you, I run poly on the 120".. Very easy to swap..
Now, I cannot imagine on an 08 that this could be a prob but,, if the internal spacer/insert that fits in the top clamp between the bushing washers, is a wee too long it will keep the top and bottom washer from pulling tight against the top tree (clamp).. That will allow lotsa unwanted movement..

It should still be very simple, even on your newer sickles, to Hard-Mount your risers/bars.. That, of course, would end all probs..
