I hope you can help me!
I need to paint an antique part that was zinc plated.
Half of it got rusty and I sucessfully removed the rust.
What kind of primer will kill the chance of further rust like rustoleum and yet still adhere well to the zinc? I know that zinc is an s.o.b. to primer or paint.....

Paint cracks and wrinkles because it has shrunk, due to improper curing.
Wrong primer, activator, thinner, recoat times, improper preparation, to many answers to post here.
Was the activator for the base or the clear, or both?
Re-read your paint instructions, and try again.
I would try to wet sand the clear and re clear first.
