Default 92 FXSTC 5000 mile service

I need to do a 5000 mile service on my Softail. I am going to do oil & filter, spark plugs, primary chain tension, clutch adjustment, drive belt tension, and tire pressures. What else might I need to do?

Are you going to do these yourself, get beer...
If you bring it to a shop, go to bank...

I couldn't help myself...

Check everything in the owners manual service checklist, then check EVERYTHING else. Check every fastener to be sure they are tight. Only caution with the fastener check is on the heads of the motor, check them, but do not tighten them. If these are loose they need to be properly torqued. The head bolts should not come loose anyway but just be sure not to tighten while checking. Just give everything a good once over and plan on spending 4hrs. If this is a 1992 check the tires for dry rot and make sure the cables are good and lubed as well. Be thorough and be safe.
