Default Lowering kits FLHT

Looking to lower my ;06 FLHT. I've looked at a couple of lowering kits but some say I may need to grind the swingarm. Any suggestions?

How low do you want it? I put the Burly lowering kit on the rear of my 01 Glide. Brought the rear down a little better than an inch. No mods required. I haven't done the front, but I know there are kits available.

Just an inch is fine, but I've heard some say the Burly kit required grinding to the swing arm which I want to avoid. Thanks.

I have an 01 Glide. Ordered the kit out of J&P cycles. I didn't have to grind anything. The kit fit perfect. I would hope it would be the same for an 06.

When you lower your Harley bagger did you find any issues with scrapping when cornering hard? I've surprised myself a few times when I catch a part of the bike on the road under hard cornering and my Harley Ultra is stock height.
