Default Custom air suspension

Due to personal reasons in order to modify my suspension on my '05 FXST I have to use an air suspension. Has anybody installed/ridden any of the legend or progressive A/S. I've read the install of the legend a/s in AIM and it seems easy enough. I'll be doing it in my garage with my own tools. Any info would help.

Hi Wiseguy,
I just installed the Progressive Air Ride on my '96 Heritage. I did it in the garage with my own tools with a small lift. I was able to do the job in about 6 hours. Tough part is getting old ones out. The only problem was getting the air valves mounted behind the coil with the supplied bracket. It came assembled but was backward and I had to redo it.

I love the ride. I have had to work on the pressure to get it to where I want it but it was an easy job if you can work with basic handtools. You will HAVE to get the special handpump if you don't order the compressor kit. DO NOT USE A TIRE PUMP at the gas station. These shocks are a Low Volume-High Pressure system.

Hope this helps

Default air ride

I have a 1996 fxdwg that is to tall for me. I was looking in the jireh catalog and ran across a set of what look to be fl style air shocks for 109.00$ for the pair. I was thinking about getting these to adjust my bike cheaply, but don't know how it will affect handling.
