Default Who Let Da Dogs Out?

Let me tell you about dogs. I worked for the Michigan Bell Telephone (now AT&T) for 37 years and the line I heard the most was "My dog don't bite" and the line I heard second most was "Why that's the first time he ever did that!"

Unless you have a temperature controlled building or live out west where the temps don't change much (definitely not Michigan) bikes deteriorate fast just sitting. I no longer want to change gaskets to stop leaks on bikes I no longer ride. None of them are "show" bikes they are all a little rusty here and dented there. They were ridden. Most of the parts I had have been unloaded, I mostly went to swap meets for the fun of it and if I found good deals I bought them. But now with all the aftermarket stuff, it's easier to just buy new. There was a time it was cool to say, "well I got a couple of FLHs and a FXE and blah blah", but now multiple bikes it's like trying to keep a few girlfriends, you just can't keep everybody running smoothly all the time!

I'm to the point now that its function not fashion. As long as it runs and gets me where I want to go and back again I'm happy. I do try to keep it fairly presentable. Got to get in all the riding I can before my times up you know. Got any pics of your leaking old shovels? Might be interested?
