Default My 1971 Harley Shovelhead For Sale Cheap

A few years ago I bought this complete and running 1971 Harley Shovelhead as the basis for a project bike in American Iron Magazine but have not gotten around to it. We have enough project bikes now so I am selling this one pretty cheap.

It has fairly new Harley-Davidson Dunlop tires. S&S Super B carb and S&S teardop air cleaner. It is a runner and a rider. It will need a new battery and some cleaning up as there is a little surface rust on the wheels and some trim. Has a factory hinged rear fender. Straight "drag" pipes. Decent paint. We recently rebuilt the rear brakes. Could be a restoration project, the basis for a cool bobber or chopper, or it can be ridden basically as is.

It is a cone Shovel, has electric and kick starter. It is complete and as seen in these photos. The wiring works but some of it should be redone.
We will be listed it on ebay on Sunday (low reserve) but thought I'd post it here too. I will sell this bike and would consider offers over $5,000. Once it meets reserve on ebay I will sell it there. This is an opportunity to buy it right BEFORE it hits reserve on ebay.

This old Harley is at our offices in Stamford, CT. It can be picked up there or you can make arrangements to have it picked up and shipped. We will help if we can on this.

If I had a first born, it would be running for it's life right now. I'd sell it in a heartbeat to get this bike.

Good luck Buzz, if for some reason it just dont sell, ha ha, let me know.

I have recieved a number of PMs and emails on this bike.

Here's the deal. If someone wants to buy it I will sell for $5,500, which is about what I have in the bike. I want cash and will hold it for up to 30 days if I get a $500 non-refundable deposit in the next few days.

I have not listed int on Ebay but will if I can't sell it this way. Thanks for your interest.

Nice bike you have but I will have to pass as I am selling this bike to thin out the herd. Too many Harleys already and not enough time to enjoy, wrench and/or ride them all.

Thanks for the offer though.

OK, I'll let the cat outta the bag.

Buzz and I have struck a deal and are moving forward.

So, soon I will be the happy new owner of this nice machine!

Sorry guys, she's off the market.

I will be posting the build of this bike on the forum here.

Now is the loooong wait for the trucking company to bring my new baby home.

I can hardley wait>

That's cool Scott. Can't wait to see what you will or won't do with it.
