Coasty:

I pulled up the excel spread sheets you have created. I am sure you got all the Maintenance ifo correct from the Service Manual? I am too lazy to double check your work. I trust you.

Hats off! Good freakin Job! Folks could download this to there PC. Print a page off to take in the garage. Come back in and transpose the notes to your computer.

If you sell the bike you print it off for the buyer. Or if you keep it you have clear notes on what was done and so forth.

You can even expand this sheet to include Mods you done. Or parts you replaced. Breakdowns or what you feel important.

Keep a good History of your ride just like the shops do when you bring it in for work.

I like. I would recomend all folks do something similar no matter what they ride. Use this as a template and change and tweak to their liking.

I could see this coming in handy for all. Thanks I stole a copy.

Handy deal, thanks. I too try to log all maintenance, repairs etc. This should make it easier.

LUISHTJ: I wanted to address your concern over front fork oil change intervals. There is some flexibility there in my humble opinion, since fork oil is under much lighter demands than that of engine and transmission oil. The main concerns with the fork are condensation which in my experience will be very little if the bike is stored in a heated garage, and a higher amount if in an unheated area and subjected to the considerable temperature swings between day and night. Second concern is dirt which gets past the seal and will grind the seal into uselessness and plug up orifices in the damper. I live on gravel roads, thus have to be more diligent about pulling back the boot and wiping away accumulated dust and more frequent changes. The factory recommendation is more of a rule of thumb. Use your own judgment based on the above mentioned factors and I'm confident that the fork will be fine. Ride Safe and God Bless. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

Good response Shovelmike. When I changed my fork Oil last Spring/Summer it was still pretty clean.
