ya, its great for right now. Im 19 years old about 5'10" and weigh 205lbs and this bike has plenty of get up and go, and is vary comfey too. But when I get about 10,000 miles on it or so, I will upgrade the 883ci to a 1200ci dual plug heads and a hot ign. and a S&S carb and so on. And thanks on the race comment.

Instead of dual plug heads you should look at a set of buell thunderstorm heads. A lot of sportster riders have great results with thees.

You want to take that Stang by more than 10 bike lengths? Talk to AIM columnist Dan Umstead at D&S Performance. He'll turn your Sportster into a heat seeker.

I've mentioned it before in these fine forums, but I'll say it again. Slap some Buell Thunderstorm heads on your Sporty and you're in for one smoking ride. I did it, and cams, on my '97 XL 1200 and the thing was a rocket. The size of your balls were the only limit. For the most part. Too bad that bike got stolen.

Cool Drag Race

When I read the title for this thread -- "Mustang vs. Harley" -- for a second I flashed that that might be a cool drag race: a P-51 Mustang fighter from WWII versus a Harley. But that would need to be on a runway or a very wide drag strip because of the wingspan of the '51. I think it would be a very close race. Top speed for a Mustang is several hundred miles per hour, but from standing still, it may take enough time getting up to takeoff speed that a Harley just might edge it out at the quarter mile post. Who's got a wide drag strip, a Harley and a P-51 Mustang?
