Default Mustang vs Harley

Well we have a race, my buddy Ryan thinks that his 2002 Ford Mustang can beat my 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster 883. The Mustang is a stock 4.6l auto engine, and I have a stock Harley Davidson Sportster 883 Hugger. Well give me your input on it and well see who wins next friday at the Baytown Drag Strip.

Im sure you will be quicker off the line, but it will be close at the end. Top end would go to the mustang. Should make a very interesting race.

It should be a close race, Duff. It will come down to reaction time and clean shifts. I'm a Mustang lover having owner a 5.0 GT for 16 yrs. If you're at the top of your game you'll take him.

ya, thanks for looking at my fourm. Well I have a bit of racing experience at the track on a bike, can get it to a bit under 1/3 a sec responce time. The Mustang had ran down the track last weekend and with a 1.2 sec response time, he ran a 16.1. And my buddy Colin has a 1990 Mustang 5.0 pulling 290whp and 3.55 gears in it and I can take him by atleast 8-10 car links in the q-mile and hes running a 14.0 with a 1/2 sec response time. So ya, I think even on my worst day I can take him. Lmao!!!!

Well how far are you running? Quarter mile?? Not a problem in the short distance. You can do it in your sleep. Keep the front wheel down and dont spin the back. Off the clutch nice and quick shift at the correct times and give him the full bird once you get that comfortable lead. Put Bird down once he starts to pass. But by then you are in the 120 mph and he is to Chicken $hit to go that fast.

Remember what Dirty Harry said. "A man has got to know his limitations". I find a lot of younger guys are afraid and back off if they go 40 miles over the speed limit.

When I get a ticket nuttin better then going home to the misses like a "Coon Dog" with a Rabbits head in his mouth saying "Look what I did and got". Can I have some money???

well we couldn't wait till sat., so a few buddies of mine found a mile street that they were building houses on, they marked the 1/4 mile marker out, and we raced. Well I was pissed that I didn't have my time or my speed, we still raced. The stang got beat by over 10 bike lengths. IT WAS BAD ASS!!!!!!!! Just will show you what a Harley will do!!! Thanks everyone for putting there 2 cents on this forum.
