I forgot how long you have had the bike... and how many miles did you ride before this started?
Fuels Filters can plug up and cause you trouble too.I remember you said the upgrade 883-1200 was done prior to you owning it, so it musta run ok at some point?? or is that why they sold it? (hope not)

A dirty filter will let some fuel flow, then when you get on it, that drains the bowl and the plugged filter cant re-fill the bowl fast enuff so the motor will stal out. this is only a guess. after you check/change the filter see how it runs. then you will know.

Tat

Did you get my reply to your e mail back on the 16th.?

I have forgotten what year your sickle is..

The stage 1 1200 conversion is the problem ONLY if it was done badly allowing leaks for example..

The Air filter has absolutely Nothing to do with any of this unless it leaned the motor out waaaay toooo much.. Simply cleaning it does NO harm..

Bad plug wires and spark plugs are a very Remote Possibility..
You can test the plugs and plug wires--- have you done that.?

A plugged fuel filter is poss, can you see yours--- do you even have one.?

Does your tank have a Petcock fuel filter,,,,,, check that..

You said the plugs were greyish..
Is that after a Hi-spd check as I described to you before,, or after just idling into the garage.????

What happens after it stalls.? Does it start up immediately or make you wait 5 - 10 minutes..??

When it stalls do all the electrics (horn, lights etc.) go out too or do they continue to work.?

What happens Just before it stalls---- does it sputter & spit or simply stop Dead,,,, Wham..!

Did you ever go through the carb to find out what jets are installed and if the float is correctly adjusted and the fuel bowl is free of dirt.???????

What else have you done to attempt to fix these probs and anything else you can tell us..

This is about the 3rd thread you've started about the Same Problems..
Have you taken any of the steps anybody has sugg'd to you.?
