Default Oil leak

May be doin some wrenching this weekend. Found a drop of oil on the casing by the starter on my '05 XL1200C. Just a small drop but looks like it may have com from between the head and cylinder on the back cylinder. What do ya think, maybe a retorque? It's been spotless up to this point. 27,000 miles on it.

Grampadac- My 04 was prone to that rear leak between head and cylinder. I just fixed it for the second time at 32,000 miles just before that left turner retired my bike.

I am not a fan of retorqueing (Spelled right?) you have 27,000 miles on it. I would take out the few extra bolts and replace the gasket. Job is pretty easy.

Just clean up your mated surfaces real good. Verify that they are true and not warped, allign and button it back up.

I ran for many miles with my leak and waited for a good time to replace. I would not hesitate to ride it a little longer with the leak while the weather is still nice. Fix her when it gets nasty out. If you have bought that service manual it gives you the step by step.

Just make sure the leak is were you think it is at.
