Default 72 Sport...

What would you pay for it? Nice chrome, beautiful paint, recently gone through top to bottom. Supposedly runs well and clean title (problem with buying on internet).

$2 to 3k. It's a buyer's market right now.
The bike is worth around 5k if it still has all the origional parts it was born with (not counting rebuilt internals).

This one ended up selling for right around 4500. I was a little shocked, I was willing to throw down 2500 plus shipping, but once the auction was coming to a close and I seen where the price was coming to I changed my mind real fast.

No doubt, as they younger generation might say, "MAD PROPS to the seller!" I was a little disappointed I wanted something to thrash around on while in Mississippi and my scoot was at the house. The poor sap that bought it, it was probably his first bike or as you said, "wantin' to relive some past times."

I'm sure I'll find something. I'm eyeballing some older bikes right now (shovelheads, I want the motor and trans for a future project). I'm looking for that one scoot that is kick only and has some miles on it.

If you want to call it that. I'm gonna build a bike the way I want it. It will be a simple design, easy to bolt together, easy to wire, etc. Well that's how I want it to turn out, I've never built a bike before so it'll be challenging. I've worked on cars before and my bike some and it's never as easy as it looks, but I'm looking more an experience, the oppurtunity to say, "yeah I built it".

My intent is a rigid frame, springer front, jockey shift, internal throttle, kick only. I've got it planned out just need to make it materialize. Like I told evoKENevo I'll keep a progress thread on here so others can follow along through my trials and tribulations.

Sounds fantastic. I bought my 49 pan as a old chopper. Frame was bent, everything looked like hell. I bought it anyway.
I had a vision of a simple, low, chrome and black low rider syle panhead.
Took me a year to finish the project, but it looked exactly as I envisioned it. I loved that bike and rode it for 17 years.
Good luck on your build, it alot of fun.
Keep us posted!
