I carry a Kel-tec 380.... http://www.gunblast.com/KelTec_P3AT.htm - I also carry a Walther PPK in my truck - I bought it from the Kentucky Highway patrol - they used them as back up guns.
The Kel-tec is so small I can carry it in my jeans pocket - vest pocket - windshield bag - close and handy.

The Walther and Barreta are both on my $hit list. Dont like the feel or trust em either. I dont know if I had a run of bad magazines or how the rounds chambered was bad. In my last year of service my .45 was replaced with the Barreta. What a piece of Crap. Maybe they are much better. The few I used jammed and were not that accurate.

Now the Colt Python is a nice piece of Hardware. I thought they stopped making them a few years back?

Texan321- Never fire the kal-tec 380. Reliable? Accurate?

Yes I have fired it - it is picky on the type of ammo but other than that - very good - but I am also a very good shot.
I do have a Browning Hi Power that I have had for a while - now that is a sweet gun.

The PPK - the way I look at it - if I don't get'em with the 1st 3 shots - I need to get rid of my guns.....

I haven't been shooting in about a year but I have lined up an indoor range here and will run several boxes through each.... gotta keep sharp.......

Navy switched from the Barreta to a Sig 9mm several years ago. Much better weapon.

My brother has a Kimber .45 (Christmas present from his kick-@$$ little brother), and that may be one of the nicer weapons I've ever had the pleasure of firing.

John 1:14

It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD.

When on the road with Chris and Sam we make sure we have a Windzone Essential Toolkit and a tire repair kit with us.
What I have found nothing beats having Chris on the ride. Why? becuase he is such a tool.

Tell me more about the Browing Hi Power....what a nice looking gun but I hear they need some work to be user friendly when shooting.

S&W J frames and N frame Mountain Lite. All comfortable to carry, and practical. I have a German PPK/S, and James Bond can keep it. It's got more felt recoil than a short/medium barrel N frame spitting out 44 specials. Looks cool, but ain't worth a damn. Limited experience with Berettas, but the Tomcat is the single worst carry/back-up pistol I've ever shot. Throwing a rock would be more effective that shooting that piece of junk. Had a couple 1911s, but am partial to my wheelguns.

My AAA card and a Mastercard are also on the tool list.

When I service my bike, I use the tools that I carry on my bike, that way I know I have what I need on the road.
All are old miss matched hand me down junk tools that I paint red, so I know they go in my tool pouch.
Also keep a short jumper wire; quick ties; electrical tape; channel locks; screw driver handle with muti bits; can of fix a flat; credit card; AAA with rv coverage; cell phone; and GPS.

Nice! Thanks a lot, ol' buddy!

Hey, Sam. Can you come over to my office and pull this knife out of my back? I can't lean back in my chair and take a nap.

I have never made any changes to the Hi Power - didn't feel it needed it. It hits what I aim at - eveytime...sweet sweet gun.
