Default Motorcycle Jack

http://www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com/

I bought one of these jacks while I was at Daytona. There are several reasons I bought this jack:

1. It is American made jack.
2. I like the height
3. I am not going to worry about it falling off this jack.

Yes it is a little pricey but I am not going to have to worry about the thing...I had issues with the one I bought from Sears and finally dumped it.

I also have a pitbull. The bike has been on the lift for 3 weeks and has not been tied down ever. I have never had a stability problem.

Thumbs up Pit Bull Jack

I have to say it is a great jack - I can move it around in the garage and I don't have to worry about it falling off.... good height - makes cleaning/maintenance really easy...

Hows the clearence when your sliding it under the bike? It looks like a nice beefy unit. I guess you guys dont have to lift yours? I have limited space and I hang mine (Sears) on the wall when I'm done. I'm worried this one might be too heavy for that.

The thing I didn't like about my old jack - is it was tough getting it under the bike without tilting the bike - made me nervous...I can slide this under - I marked it where I needed to make sure it was under the bike - I thought about hanging it on the wall but I think it might be to heavy - 113 lbs - I don't know - it could be done if you place the hangers so that all you would have to do is lift one end and wheel it up against the wall without lifting it...maybe that would be the ticket. But I like not having to tilt the bike to get the jack under it....

Default J&S Jacks Heavy Duty Lifts for H-D Motorcycles

Check out the jack system at this link:

http://www.jsjacks.com/

Once there, be sure to follow the links to the video. Everything you see there is amazing but true. I ride an '04 Dyna & those of you familiar w/Dynas (up to '05 that is - don't know about the new frames) know they're hard to get under a jack because of the way the frames are underneath the engine. Also, mine's a Low Rider, so that make it even more challenging.

Anyway, I like to be able to jack up my ride to detail the wheels. Hard to do w/a rack where the bike's wheels are resting on the jack platform. This jack is perfect for me. I simply slip it under my Dyna on the kickstand side, start jacking, & the damned thing raises perfectly, easily, every time. And one up it really is as stable as the photos and video show. I've never needed to strap ol' Harley down.

Also purchased the J&S Oil Pan adapter, which makes draining fluids while jacked up a breeze.

Recommend this jack highly. Check it out . . .

JB

P.S. Usual disclaimer. No interests in this outfit at all aside from being a very satisfied customer of three years.

Oops. Meant to say slip the jack under the bike on the side OPPOSITE the jack. Anyway, take a look at the video & you'll see there how it's done.

Default Hmmm 2 Choices

Both of these jacks (the Pitbull and the J&S) look like they're well made and both in the USA. It might be time to pull the trigger on one. The J&S is a little cheaper, but the Pitbull has some nicer model with air assist.
Can any of you owners point out the things you liked about your particular model? Thanks

I have the J&S jack.i also bought the drain pan with it,They have awesome customer service...when the jack arrived the box had a few holes in it,needless to say,one wheel was broke, drain pan was dented in a couple places, contacted j&s and they appologized ,wasn't their fault, sent another wheel and drain pan right away, very happy with this jack, think it weighs around 90 lbs.that was the ship weight, take a few lbs off for packing and box,I put my bike up on the jack push it out on the driveway, wash her down, even underneath is no problem, dry her off and then i'm gone.....i have looked at the pitbull ,it looks like another good jack,i believe it comes with a pull handle, but the j&s moves so smooth i have used mine several times and am very happy with it,these two are probably the best on the market, and made in the ...USA....
