It is the duty of nations, as well as of men, to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions, in humble sorrow, yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon; and to recognize the sublime truth announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the LORD. ----Abraham Lincoln
Blue:
In a word..."YES"...otherwise vibration, etc, just-might/probably-would find the stuff you're putting together coming apart on you...which happens sometimes even with locktite. Your instructions probably call for BLUE locktite...be sure to use what's recommended noting the RED stuff would make it REAL hard to take apart,if/when you wanted/needed to,later on.

Pre war S&W ejector rods before they switched to reverse threads.
Used it under a loose rear sight on a 1911 and then tried to drift it when I got to the range> That was dumb.
VW case studs. It works.
Everything on a Triumph. They would still come apart.
Never put a compensator on a 1911. Had a Wilson barrel that came with one.
Used on grip screw bushings. Didn`t work.
The sideplate instructions call for BLUE and RED. The trick is, I DO want to be able to remove them without a fuss. It's a StreetBob, so when there's no g/f and/or luggage... I want it to look like a StreetBob.

Red's not impossible to free-up...I suggest using what's recommended even IF it's a little over-kill...especially if you're going to be doing and undoing stuff...your call though...noting "a little dab'll do ya" in MOST cases.

When I put my detachables on the bike 2 years ago I used the blue and haven't had any problems. I believe the blue is suggested for 1/4''-3/8'' bolts
that may need frequent or regular service.

That seals it. I'll pick some up on my way home tomorrow before I do the install.

I very seldom ever used the stuff until about ten years ago, then started using it regularly on the last couple of bikes.
It is just a good idea, especially on the parts that if they fell off, would be a problem, like brakes, pulleys. Easy to put on take off. Just a little insurance.
