Curious what kind of tools you all have? Do most of you have simple tool kits & misc tools collected over the years or do you guys have complete sets of high end tools in rolling tool boxes?
I personally have an assorted collection that I have pieced together over the years but would love to have a complete set of tools in a rolling tool chest.

Mine's an assorted collection in a rolling chest. Other old tools in tool boxes, many have much sentimental value..handed down by late father and grandfather. Collecting more specialized tools all the time

I have some tools from my Grampa too and Dads but most of them are not in everyday use, you know, wooded handles etc..
I have two complete rolling boxes, one on each side of the Handy sickle lift..
Plus, specialty tools for the left side of the sickle-- primary, clutch etc. in the left boxes.. Carb, ignition etc. in the right side boxes..
And air hoses on each side too..
Don't have to walk around to get stuff that way.. Yeah Baby..!

My tools and my shop are being assembled one project at a time. Never had many tools or a need for them till I caught the fever here. No compressor yet. Bought a fairly good mechanics set at a boxing day sale and three weeks later the bike was apart. Now I have a good assortment of speciality tools. You probably couldn't fix a snowblower with what I have but you can break down a twin cam and put it back together. Frisco, man you are a genius. I need another rolling box so I can keep the carb and exhaust tools and gaskets on one side and the primary and belt toys, I mean tools, on the other.
My little shop (converted 1-1/2 car garage) is set up & equipped kind of like what frisco described..except that on both side of my table-lift, I have benches/shelving,within reach,to set PARTS according to which side of the bike they come off & go on..and,I utilize the lift-surface to set TOOLS in use, right in the middle of things..noting that in such tight quarters the tool chests (rolling) etc. are'nt much of a walk to get to either...a place for everything AND everything in it's place,USUALLY anyhow !!

Unfortunately my dear wife chooses to keep her car in the garage, leaving just enough room for my Sporty. My two rolling tool chests and woodworking tools (also on casters) are stored in an area apparently intended for a lawnmower (let it sit outside and rust!).
My tools are mostly collected over the years like most have responded.

I hear ya Whopper. I leave space for my wife's car, as well as space for my table saw, tile saw, and other assorted tools to keep the house in good repair.
I've long entertained the notion of building another building to house a bigger shop but haven't wanted to go into debt to do it.

I have a roller and another smaller one that holds the Metric. I pick up as needed or think I needed. Tools are pieces of art with a function. All of mine have been used at one time or another.
I know a few folks that have the whole craftsman or Snap on catalog in their garages never been used and only seen daylight when taken out of the shopping bag to put in the chest.
Crappy tools round out and dont fit right. Majority of mine are Craftsman. Decent and cheaper then others. I have specialties from Snap- On and Mach and other misc.
I have a small rolling toolbox from Craftsman; 6-drawer, I think. It cost $100.00 or so and I should have put that money towards a better one. The drawers aren't on bearings, just slide in I-shaped channels. JUNK!! Anything heavier than a screwdriver set or a couple of hammers will bend the channels and when I asked the Sears guy about their "lifetime warranty" well, they don't cover the low-end stuff! I had the same deal with the Snap-On guy over their Blue Point stuff. It's lower end so they don't cover it. I had a Blue Point battery charger I wanted fixed. I figured I'd get the "no warranty on electrical stuff" line, so I told him to have it fixed and I'd pay for it. It came back with a note saying, in essence, it wasn't worth fixing. Two years old and not worth fixing. On another note, my air compressor and air tools are one of the best investments I've ever made.
