I have a 2005 sportster (1200 XL) with 12.000 miles on it, and Im hearing a loud Knocking noise from the primary when its idea-ling. I give it a Little gas and it stops Knocking. I know it must be the bearing just need a second opinion.

You'll just have to pull the cover and have a look, but it sounds more like the chain is slapping around. Take a good look at the adjuster, etc. Sincerely: Shovelmike.

The engine sprocket nut, was lose.
