Default Oil temp Gauge

Ok - I have had the oil temp gauge installed - removed the funky air temp thingy.... with the JAGG oil cooler - syn3 - I am running less than 190... now I am thinking that is pretty good for the engine????
However, that thing is still hot. It will be interesting to see what it runs during the summer.

Default Where did you get the guage

I have often wondered about an oil temperature guage.

I am just curious where you got it and where the sensor connects to the oil flow.

I have a Wide Glide so it probably wouldn't work for me but you never know until you ask.

I am going to go with the Jagg oil cooler but thought about a temp guage as well.

I use the analog one that fits in the bag. It tells me that the Oil is hot. I tend to think the gadge is more of a distraction. Folks getting all worried.

Now if you are into fine tuning and racing go for it. Your bike will tell you if you have issues with oil. It will sound different and you will feel the excess heat. OTS the temp gadge. Get used to your ride. It will speak when it needs a doctor.

it is a MOCO part - I put it in because I was curious about the temp and the air temp didn't work. But I would tend to agree with JC but I see you are in Houston and it does get hot there....

Texan, my FLHTI runs around 220 in the summer, with a MoCo oil cooler and lowers.
