Default moving clutch lever

Chris,

I have a 2007 FLHX with about 16,000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone has ever noticed the clutch lever pulling in while gettting on the throttle, then returning when I let off the gas?

I dicovered this while resting my hand on the clutch lever trying to get the thing to stop rattling.

This isn't my first harley and I'v never noticed this before.

My 2006 FLHX did the same thing. The H-D dealers told me that this is normal. I'm sure someone here will have a better response than mine, and why it happens.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that under acceleration the clutch is under pressure and that might effect the feel of the clutch lever a bit.

Or not.
