Default Is the Revtech 5 in a 4 trans an overdrive trans?

Anybody out there have or know if the Revtech 5 in a 4 trans for a 4 speed frame an overdrive trans, or is the final drive 1 to 1 like a 4 speed? There are some online for sale pretty cheap, and I called to get some more info on it. The guy I spoke to said it has overdrive; but then I called J&P cycles tech line and the guy there said the final drive is 1 to 1 , just like a 4 speed. I can't find any articles online that states the final drive on those transmissions, so I figured I would see if anybody has firsthand experience,or know somebody that does. I'd appreciate the help. Thanks

Real smart to check it out cuz you got lied to,,, it is 1 to 1...
If you get one I suggest purchase from a catalog or reputable dealer...
The 5/4's have no overdrive however the 1st gear is usually very low, 2.94-1 or 3.24-1 meaning that you can run a fairly high final drive with some sprocket changes... For example, if you now have a 3.38 final drive you can raise it to 3.24, that's almost 6%, AND have hellacious 1st gear pull,,, pretty good for a four speed motorsickle...
As you know JP wants $1530 for the Rev with no kicker and $2545 for the Jims 6/4 OD...
Dennis Kirk wants $3300 for the Baker 6/4 and $2550 for the Jims 5/4...
Jireh Cycles wants $1995 for the Jims 5/4 and $2395 for the 6/4, I didn't see a Rev...
You'll always find Jireh is cheaper for the "same exact" than anyone else... Shop around bubba...

Thanks for the help-knew it was too good to be true. American classic motors is selling them for $1195.00 w\kicker. If overdrive was so cheep, all of us with 4 speeds would have one by now. Nice dream though....
