Default Clutch Tamer

Anyone put The Tamer clutch tamer in a shovelhead, I installed one today and I now have no clutch tension at the lever, I haven't adjusted the cable adjuster out yet, could this be my problem or is it possibly something else?

Hey 72

I know of 2 types of "tamers"..

I used the Retainer type a few years back & it needed No exceptional Re-adjustment..
It worked ok but wasn't worth the hassel of the retaining rings so I took it out..

I bet you just installed the Other type..
Don't the instructions address this..

Anyway-- I suggest simply re-adjusting the clutch from scratch, meaning the position of the releasing arm via the push-rod adjustment screw, if needed, and then the cable adjustment to 1/16" of play at hand lever....
I bet it works fine then..
