Default Hydraulic primary adjuster

Has any one had experience with the hydraulic primary chain tensioner? I have mine opened up and was just wondering if it would be a good move to replace the old manual adjust tensioner.

Hey Draggin.
I have no experience with the hydraulic unit but I did replace my manual adjuster with the spring based automatic adjuster and am very happy with the result after two years. I have the primary off now for another reason and checked the adjuster and shoe and they are still in perfect condition. I used the Hayden adjuster kit and found it easy to install. I have to grind one plate to get it to fit but the instructions said that would be necessary with some models so I was ready for it. Good luck.

Draggin, I just completed a lot of work to my bike, I went wtih one of the hydraulic tensioners. It was a model HB125 from Southern Oregon Hot Bikes - Custom Bikes & Service. Works GREAT...what a difference. Everthing is so smooth with no problems, including trying to find neutral. I was really suprised at the difference it made. Good Luck
