On the freeplay adjustment I had an old timer tell me... and I have forever did so since then... make the lever hold a dime against the control housing. That will give you the proper free play adjustment.

On the throw out bearing... I have had a bud on his AIH legend that kept having clutch adjustment issues... He would put it to spec... a few miles later... it would either get sloppy or tighter than ****.

pulled it apart... checked the ball ramp, the rod, and then the throw out bearing... found this..

Basically destroyed...

Picked up a new one... cheap part

Re installed, adjusted clutch rod and freeplay... good as new

it turns out that the dealership mechanic that worked on my bike forgot to tighten the lock nut on the clutch adjuster screw. mistakes happen , they fixed it and everything is running good. i bought a manual and plan on doing most things myself from now on ,how else will i learn. thanks for your patience and suggestions
