Default missing shifts

Is there any kind of overtravel adjustment for the shifter on a dyna 5-speed gearbox? I've noticed that I'm occasionally missing 3rd gear, on the upshift,
during heavy acceleration, and sometimes while downshifting as well. It almost feels as if I'm overshooting the shift and winding up between gears. Is there any reasonably easy way to adjust this?
Thanks,
Big_Cheese

Any issues with your Harley clutch?

Sometimes if a motorcycle clutch needs adjusting or is simply worn out you could experience shifting issues.

Same can be said for your primary chain tension

As far as I can tell the clutch is adjusted properly. The primary chain, I'll have to check on, but when I last changed the fluid in the primary, it seemed gtg. It only seems to do this when I'm trying for a fast shift and rapid acceleration. Maybe it's my technique,.....er, or lack thereof?
