Default Harley vs Lehman Trikes?

I read all about the new Harley trike in American Iron and figure it's a better deal all around than the Lehman version. But you can find used Lehmans but not used Harley trikes.

I think it will be a while before there are any used Harley trikes.

If you look into it closer, you will find the Harley Trike is put together by Lehman

Yes, the Harley trike is finished by Lehman but with many very different components that Harley designed specifically fo the trike that are not available for the Lehman trike. This includes the frame, matching Harley wheels, and much of the bodywork.

For more info and photos of the Harley trike see our write up in American Iron Magazine.

$$$$$ You'd think it would be a nice bike for 30k, but I think I read the reverse option is an additional 2k. That's H-D for you!

I have one of the 09 Tri-glide and my wife and I love to ride it together. I also have a 04 Fat Boy that I also like to ride. The trike is great for long trips and over nighters but the Fat Boy is a wonderfull bike for around town and short trips. My wife is not at ease with a two wheel bike so that's why the Tri-glide. The Tri-glide is put together by Lehman for Harley but is all Harley design. The reverse is 1200.00 not 2000.00. The dealer I got mine from ordered all of the trikes with reverse. Very well put together bike. I like both of the bikes and would not want to be without eather. Ride safe.

We reviewed a Lehman trike a while back and it proved to be an excellent machine. The Lehmans and H-Ds have as many similarities as they do differences, and they're both big pricey three-wheelers. If you've got the money, you probably can't go wrong with either.
