| | Thanks for sharing. This is the first modified Cross Bones I have seen. Having ridden the bike around Daytona I was very impressed with how comfortable and good handling it was.
Have fun and good luck with it! |

Along with mower, work bench and a small dog run. Thats it, I need another Harley so I have a reason to get a bigger garage.

| | Congratulations! That simple seat change made the rear fender look about 1000% better!
I'd still drop a Fatboy rear fender on it, were it mine
Throw us a few more pics once you get her off of her jiffy stand and out in the sunshine!

| | Those pipes look especially good. Now a little work with the trusty saw and sander for that stock rear flap ...
It's going to be interesting to see how many X Bones buyers do similar customizing to enhance the vintage looks of their bikes. |

| | I think the folks looking for that real vintage look will be buying something like the FLSTS models. Granted there aren't any in the 2008 line-up, but the 2007 line-up has the FLSTSC, and I don't think the MoCo will got TOO many model-years without introoducing a new one.
The FXSTS-type models have always been popular, but that sprung seat just looked like kind of a weird hybrid between nostalgia and attitude. With a new seat, it brings it all back home.
I see folks going in two directions to bring the lines of the bike back down to earth.
1. New rear fender (but nothing TOO nostalgic) while keeping sprung rear seat.
2. Ditch the sprung seat for something more seamless and leave the bob-tail right where it is
