Default New bars on FXDL

I just picked up a dealer take off bar from a Fat Boy to put on my Low Rider. It is about an inch wider, 2 inches taller and 3 inches longer that my stock bars. Anyone tackled a swap like this? I am not sure about the cable length. My plan is go pull the old bars and see how much slack I have on my existing cables. Any ideas are appreciated.

Default Put Cables in bars

While your changing you might as well lengthen the cables and hide them in the bars. You need wire stripper solder soldering iron and heat shrink tubeing, small for individual wires and one large 1 or 1 1/2 inch to go over harness Your going to have to lengthen the wires anyway for the new bars. You will probably have to add another 12 to 16 inches for inside bars. Its not hard just a little tedious 6 pack and one good cigar. Maybe 2 of each..... You may have to inlarge the hole thats already in the bars. it just looks so much cleaner.....

Default Cables in bar

I might have to consider that. I am sure the time put into it would be worth the great look. Thanks
