Default Lifter hammer@engine start

Once in a while after engine sits for a while (2003 TC 88) when I fire up the lifter(s) have to pump up. It is like the pressure/flow has to fill the lifter galleys. For example; ride 200 miles to Portland and the next morning when I start it up or sometimes just a few hours after I shut it off then this can occur. 50,000 miles. I have: installed new HD lifters/Crane adj. push rods, checked oil pump, installed new cam slack adjusters. Use 20/50 Mobil 1 VT. All internal parts look like new except those slippers on the adjusters (wore out). I have a HD cooler. The o-ring on the pressure pump suction connection to the back was hard as glass, thought maybe it could have been letting oil/air go the wrong way. Put it together and ran excellent for two weeks and this trouble started all over again. When I rebuilt big block Chevs a few years back we drilled the cam galley soft plugs behind the timing chains to let the air out of the galleys or they would rattle just like the problem I am having. I let it run just above idle for what seems forever (probably like 1 minute or just a little more and you can hear the lifters start quieting down. Runs fine, no oil consumption. Doodle

Unknown, thought it was easier change all 4 than try to duplicate leak down tests on all 4 since I had to have them out any way/1

After your initial adjustment of the rods did you check em again after the motor went through a cycle of its normal operating temp. Just above room temp when motor was still warm but not hot enough to burn your fingers?
