Default More Power

Hi there..
I have a 2007 Ultra with a SE air filter, V&H Oval slip on's and Stage 1 download. What I am looking for is more power out of the engine. When passing a car it would be nice to have more power to do so. I still want the bike to be reliable and somewhat descent on gas. I was told that a camshaft swap would probably be what I am looking for. Any recomendations on witch cams and any other recomendation...I am not looking to have a race engine but just more power for everyday riding..

Hey there, Radar, and welcome to the forum. To give your bike the kind of power you are looking for I would recommend Andrews 21HG or 26HG cams if you wish to go gear drive, 21H or 26H if you wish to stay with the chain drive system. Mine is an '02 88 cu.in. running the 21's and really happy with them but either cam will suit your needs just fine. Ride safe and God bless, Sincerely: Shovelmike.

Default Power

Hey Radar,

Shovelmike nailed it. Either cam will work well with what you have. Found a major improvement in passing power on the 88 with a smaller primary sprocket. Have not done this on a 96 but gotta believe it would work just as well with the right selection of parts.

RADAR..I am running a relatively stock 96 ci. motor.
I do have the screaming eagle high flow air cleaner, and changed the exhaust to the V&H short shot staggards. I also have the S.E.R.T.
I did add a set of power cones ( that cost a whopping $33.00).
My motor is pushing 69.8 horsepower and 83 ft. lbs. of torque.
Not to shabby for a relativley stock motor.
