You know something........I shoulda changed my oil about 1,000 miles ago. Thanks for reminding me. Now if I just can get my tools to do it....I have a ton of maintenance to get done. Soon.....I hope. Sh!T the mount for my front foot peg worked loose and almost bounced on down the road. Lucky I looked because my shifting felt wrong.

Other than looking at the micron filtration, how would you know if one filter is better than another? You can't tell by the oil!

Ideally, by testing samples.

Since none of us can afford that, we have to rely on the less reliable, but best we got, nominal micron rating.

HD OEM twin cams= 5 micron nominal.

Best I can do.

I'd go a step further.

Syn3, mobil, royal purple, whatever in crankcase/oil bag

Formula+ or Belrays primary stuff in primary

Belrays tranny stuff in tranny.

Sure, it's 3 oils, but it's not like the primary and tranny use it up.

Default Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Bluesfan, did you just wake up from a months long nap. Just kidding, miss your insight, esp. on oil related issues. Just noticed you replied to a month old post. Next oil change, I'm thinking about switching to Bel Ray in the primary and trans. What is your recomended trans wieght(Bel Ray)? Do you have a good source to purchase Bel Ray from?
Thanks,Sprung

Nap!? I was busy!

I hate it when I have to work.

No source for Bel-Ray except google or the local shops.
