Default wide tire

Hey guys,

With the trans bolted to the engine your options are limited. I have used a 140 on a Dyna without any problems or modifications. When it needed to be replaced I went back to a 130 because they were on sale. I am too lazy to use tire spoons or maybe gettin too old.

Hey Wright

Ooh crap, my long-time affair with rigid frame, rigid mount motors and trannys has let me down.. It never even crossed my mind that this is a rubber-mount sickle in question.. Jeeeze..

I've done that job with my generation of sickles.. Um, I'll just go to bed now..

Hey Frisco,

You are among friends. A TC is kinda pretend unit const. Just cause we think the back tire should follow the front the MoCo comes up with offset.

I think you could mount a 150 without all the stuff if you are careful with suspension. I like long shocks and lotsa ground clearance on my FXDX. Next time they are on sale.......Don`t tell anybody but it handles better with the 130.

Around 110 mph my Vincent would go into "auto offset" . Some called it a speed wobble. It was really an upside down softail. Very exciting. Went to great lengths to make it not do that. Now we find out it is all ok.

Rigid frames are for self reliant people. YOU are the suspension.

Wright & Tommy

When you said the trans is bolted to the motor I jumped to the conclusion that it's a rubber mount motor but after what Tommy said I checked my books and sure enough it is a rigid mount motor..
And now I also see how the motor and tranny are connected in his year..
