Default True duals

Hello:

I have a 2006 FHHTC Classic to which I have put on Sampson slip-ons, Stage 1 air cleaner and power commander.. I am not at all happy with the sound or performance. I really like the apperance and sound of Rheinhart true duals and especially like the appearance.

Would really appreciate any feedback on anyone's experience with any type of true duals. Really not looking for anything that is to loud but sounds better than stock. Thank-You

Where is the system failing you? Performance?? Is it in acceleration?? Or is it in bottom end or top end acceleration?

If you've already installed Samson slip-ons the sound is not going to be much different with the Rineharts, just a slightly different exhaust note because you're fully seperating the pipes. The power difference (if any) wont be noticeable in the seat of your pants.I've installed dozens of the true duals & have experienced no major problems other than the earlier design broke mounting tabs (Rinehart,to give credit where it's due, replaced every broken pipe no charge)

I put V&H Classic slip-ons with SE stage 1 air cleaner & V&H Fuel pac & Basically got the same performance as stock. A few months later I installed the V&H "Dresser duals" (everyone seems to call them "true duals" but that's another mgf) & I noticed a big difference in pull, sound, and the bike (2007 Street Glide) just plain ran better.

The V&H Dresser duals for your year bike (no O2 sensor) are only around $295.00 & well worth the $, Not to mention they look GREAT!

Thanks for the reply about the Vance and Hines true duals. Don't want to seem stupid about 02 sensors but maybe you could tell me about them and are they on a 2006 classic. Also when you said around 295, did that mean mefflers alone or with new hedders.

thanks again

Your 06 does not have 02 sensors.$295 is for head pipes only.
