Re: s.e. 103 stage 2 mod is it worth it? Russ29.... welcome to AIM's forum, great place for pick'n brains.
I love the fact that your wanting to up grade a "new" bike already.
Didn't take long for your decision either... nice.
You'll love the 103 kit and as was said, depending on cams, you'll see a real difference.
I've held off on the build till I have to take down my top end. If this 96" motor stays together for 100,000 miles, thats when I'll make my change. I'm real curious to see how long this motor stay together with proper maintenance.
I use synthetic motor oil and change it every 2,500 miles. Thats my preference and to some, a little over kill. But I do want this stock motor to stay together as long as possible. All I did was the S.E. high flow air kit using a K&N air filter, S.E.R.T. and V&H short shot exhaust. This thing is plenty fast enough for me now, and really pulls great. |
