Default fxdx lubrication

can anyone tell me if they've had any issues with tc88 oil pump or pressure sending unit? I have a stock 03 fxdx with 42k miles on it. Just wondered if there were folks that may have had problems with these items?

Welcome to the forum, Toastie. The sending units are similar to automotive units, some last a good long time and others rupture the diaphram inside and go bad.
If your bike has a guage you can expect pressure at hot idle to be around 10psi. Harleys don't require a lot of pressure.
As far as the pump goes I haven't had any issues with my 02. I got rid of the cam chain tensioners and went to gears at 27,000 mi. now at almost 36,000 and running better that new. Any debris from neglected tensioner shoes will find its way to the pump so keep up regular inspections or tell 'em so long like I did.
I've heard of some cranks with excessive pinion runout causing pump issues but I haven't had any...perhaps others will chime in with such input.
