Default Late model PCIII start

[ as you know] Most HDs with the newer F.I. system go thru there test cycle, so you wait a few seconds. RIGHT ?
With the PCIII that will delay your scoot lighting off. Something to do with the fuel pump relay "I think" ?????
For a Quick start 1 or 2 turns
clutch in
Ign. switch to on
ON/Off switch to on then
quickly hit the starter button with out a moments delay.
Do not twist the throttle at all.
If all is right she will breath fire instantly

delete if this is a repost

Thanks Nevar, I had not heard or read about that before. That's why I hang out here a lot, you never know when you will gain some new knowledge.

I am not sure why I am supposed to do this. Are you saying it takes too long to start? A couple of seconds. It will start before the engine light goes off but it will throw a code. I really am confused as to the reason

No she will not throw a code, if all is right. Just a quicker way to her to breath fire.

O.k. I'm reading this wrong, or confused, or both. The quote "With the PCIII that will delay your scoot lighting off".
Is PCIII refering to the Power Commander III, or something else? So does this procedure work with all HD's with the newer F.I. system, or just the newer ones that also have a Power Commander III?
thanks

I can only speak for the Power Commander III on the new style HD FI. not the old.
As far as I know yes it works for any HD with the PCIII installed.
You most likely can find out more info at
Fuel Moto USA or Harley Davidson Motorcycle Reviews, Performance, Repair, Parts - HDForums.com

My 07 FXDWG with the PCIII [V&H BSS and HD heavy breather] fires up cold in one spin, ok maybe 2. If I let her go thru the test cycle it takes 5 or 6 turns
