Hi Lex

First this..

Have you or anybody done any work, maintenance, performance, repair, etc etc. to or around the tranny, clutches, etc. etc. recently Before this issue started..?
Did it start overnight or slowly get to the level it is at now.?

I realize this might sound tooo simple but let's try the simple stuff first-----
Lube your clutch cable..
If that doesn't help then we go further..

Thanks for the info,

This has really been a problem that occured over a few days. The only maintenance done was with Longhorn HD for a 20000 service. I'll lube that clutch cable and see what happens -

Is the shifter hard to get to move or does it flop down without shifting down?

Like what TBone asked, does the shift lever return to the center point after you move it up or down? Just go out and move it up and down by hand, you don't even have to go into gear to see if it returns to center. The shifter pawl had sharp edges and caused the spring to break on earlier evo's, but I thought it was fixed by '07.

Thanks for the help Tbone and Hard time,

The shifter is very hard to push down, it does in fact go down but you have to kick the cramp out of it almost enough force to break the shifter. As far as I can tell it does return to the center point, it doesn't flap down with out shifting-just doesn't go down with a good hard "very hard" kick. Also-HardTimeHarley I have a 97 Dyna so the spring may be a problem.

Any help would be appreciated guys, thanks
