| | Vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 First up hi to everyone as i'm new on here.
I have recently bought a 2005 TC88 softail standard, which is not fuel injected, my question is; I want to put a Vance & Hines big radius 2 into 1 on and I know I have to change air filter, but what else do I need to look at doing, any help would be most appreciated |

Runs fine! Good power and gas mileage. |

| | Re: Vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 Hi Trevtruck; The fuelpak/powercommander/tfi/etc. are for fuel injected bikes only. You are lucky (IMO) to have a carb. Changing jets and tuning the carb. is not difficult, and can be personally rewarding if you do it yourself. Read up on Carb jetting on the net., talk to some guys at the local hang out, and maybe someone will offer to help. The HD place will be glad to rejet and dyno it for your next car payment. Beware, they will talk you into a lot more stuff than the jets (less than $10) they insist you MUST have for it to run right. Like jmk713 said, rejet & free flowing air filter = good running bike.

| | Re: Vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 First off... Welcome to AIM's forum. Glad to have ya Trevtruck. Thats a real fine scoot you bought and you are lucky to have a carbed bike. Like all have said, just change the jets and put on a free flowing air cleaner and you'll be good to go. No dyno tuning unless you want to. Read up on changing out your jets, its real simple and fun as well. If you have any questions, come back here and ask away, you'll get real good advice and lots of great help.
Again... Welcome, stop in often and make it a hangout. |

| | Re: Vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 Thanks Hardtimeharley and Streetbob, I have had a couple of harley's before this one but never changed the pipes. I started riding bikes back in 73 [71 Triumph Saint] than 3 more Triumphs till I got the Harley bug.
Alway good to cut out the money grabbers and I like tinkering with my bike, but also like to get a second opinion. |

| | Re: Vance & hines big radius 2 into 1 Check with V&H and see if you have to relocate the right rear passenger peg on a softail to install the Big Radius 2-1. I'm pretty sure that I read about Dyna's having to do this and some people were not happy with the results. One peg much higher than the other. It might not be necessary on Softails. I'm not sure.

Also use proper torque on the nuts. That is one of the LAST places you want to snap a stud off.
