Default 2009 Twin Cam 96 Horsepower Numbers

Does anyone know the "real" horsepower and torque numbers for a 2009 stock 96" Twincam? Harley doesnt give horsepower numbers but they show torque at
92.60 ft lbs @ 3500 rpm. Which I find hard to believe unless my recent upgrades and dyno results are wrong. Botz

botzman; Coincidentially I just did a google search for " harley 96 cu. inch horsepower" yesterday. From the sites I opened, I saw anywhere from 68 to 100+, everyone claimed "they" were legit. From my visits to reputable forums and such, I feel a bone stock 96 will put 68 - 75 to the rear wheel. Dyno results vary a lot.

Thanks. I had bike dyno tuned after adding D&D Fat Cat 2-1, V&H Heavy Breather and a Power commander and the numbers were pretty sad. 68.84 HP and 80.77 Max Torque. Might have to do some more work this winter.

Hi Botz, getting those EPA cams out of there will make that engine breathe a lot better.

Hey ShovelMike,

I hear ya on that one. Maybe this winter. Maybe bring it up to a 103. I hear that is the most reliable setup. The TQ numbers posted by HD on their site have to be false.

Tq and hp numbers posted by all manufacturers are from the crank, not rear wheel.
Kinda misleading, but they all do that

Botz, I had left my 07 EG a 96" and got 88 hp and 99 torque which doesn't sound like alot but it sure felt good. That was with just heads and cams.
