Default 2002 Twin Cam Bearings

I seem to remember that there was some sort of problem with early 2002 twin cam bearings. Maybe a switchover from Timken bearings?

I am considering purchasing a 2002 Heritage Classic and was wondering if this could be an issue.

I believe you can tell by the serial number if it is included in the factory replacement program.

I probably worry too much because my other concern is the tube type tires.
I have never seen a motorcycle with a flat much less a destroyed tire but in my early youth people were sometimes killed by blowouts before tubeless tires came on the scene.
